Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and replacing residential and/or commercial glass.
  • Measuring, cutting, handling, and installing glass and related materials.
  • Reading work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Using hand and power tools to complete quality installations.
  • Diagnosing installation challenges and finding practical solutions.
  • Interacting directly with customers and providing professional, friendly service.
  • Keeping your work area, tools, and company vehicle clean and organized.
  • Following company safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Completing jobs efficiently while never sacrificing quality.
  • Representing the Portland Glass brand with professionalism at every customer interaction.

Required qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and other technology.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Complete background check and drug screen in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Highschool Diploma or GED.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous glass installation experience preferred; 3+ years of carpentry or related trade experience may also be considered.

Competitive pay: Compensation is based on experience and skill level.


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Associate should be able to stand, sit in an office space, lift 75lbs on occasion, communicate, lift computer equipment, supplies, and materials, and use office equipment and computers. The Associate is exposed to typical office working conditions, as well as conditions in a workshop environment. The Associate must be able to lift and climb ladders, handle glass and related materials, and carry all needed equipment to perform measurements and design assessments.
